Haiti, here they come!

I tend to get super excited for people I haven't even really spoken to in years, but whatever, excitement and support is never a bad thing!

The Jumps are moving to Haiti!! Matt's mom and my mom have worked together for longer than I can remember. We grew up together as teachers kids, hanging out after school in the gym during faculty meetings and things like that! Kinda lost touch when I went the private school route and he remained in Jessamine County. But, he and his wife are moving to Haiti and they need our help! Click the link up there to check out their support letter and support them with your prayers and possibly money if you have a little extra for those who need it and will use it wisely!

Either way, check out what they have to say!

ooo... the other day in english we got in this huge argument about which is better: public school or private school? which do you think?

honestly i think there are pros and cons to each. it really depends on the student how they will react to each one. like for me, private school was a wonderful thing and i'm happy with the education i received and i'm happy with my experience. but for my brother, private school just put him over the edge. it's not for everybody. i think there are wonderful teachers on both sides. as a teacher, i will never teach in a private school, though. the public school system doesn't pay teachers as much as they deserve, but your retirement plan is wonderful because it's like a state government job. anyway, i don't think i could say which is better. it's a personal preference kind of thing.
