New Blog!!

So I've started a new blog - a MOM blog! I probably won't post on it as much as this one - actually I'm sure I won't. It's more just for fun for me.

I've messaged Jaye to see if he would be interested in helping me do a cool logo & design similar to this one, but related to being a mom! I'm sure if he has time to help me, he'll come up with something awesome just like this one!!

So if you're interested, check out my new blog: Ingenue Mom

Quote for the Day

“People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? Pain is meant to wake us up. People try to hide their pain. But they’re wrong. Pain is something to carry, like a radio. You feel your strength in the experience of pain. It’s all in how you carry it. That’s what matters. Pain is a feeling. Your feelings are a part of you. Your own reality. If you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you’re letting society destroy your reality. You should stand up for your right to feel your pain.”

Actors Music Videos

TV Guide made a list of 13 music videos by actors. Some of them are super embarrassing! Haha! But the Jennnifer Love Hewitt one was actually something I liked in high school! I was all about the I Still Know What You Did Last Summer soundtrack!

Hilarious. Click here for the full list!

Finally!

 Pregnancy Ticker

My eggo is preggo.

haha ever since I saw Juno, I've wanted to use that phrase. I know, at this point that was like 2 years ago and it's been overdone. I don't care. It's the first time I've used it to describe myself! woo hoo!

So that's the REAL reason why I've kinda been slacking. I've been feeling pretty awful the past 3 weeks. Every smell bothers me and I seem to be permanently nauseous. I tried to act like I would be the pregnant person that doesn't get sick, but no no no. Oh well, at least it's for a good reason!!

I'm excited and nervous and just all around sort-of overwhelmed. It's crazy and awesome! I'm only 8 weeks so I really shouldn't even be telling everybody yet, but we decided to tell our parents over Memorial Day weekend and of course that means everyone else is going to know. It's the first grandchild for all of our parents, so that makes it pretty fun in addition to the normal fun that would be had.

Well there you go. Yay!

Trailer: Table for Three

Sophia Bush's new movie with Brandon Routh, Jennifer Morrison & Jesse Bradford.

It doesn't look great, but I really like all those people, so I might watch it just for kicks.

Quote for the Day

Fall TV Schedules

Click here to see the fall tv lineup that has been announced so far! It's at the bottom of the page. Ugly Betty is moved to Fridays, How I Met Your Mother is moved to 8pm. Several other changes and new shows are on there as well! The CW has picked up 3 new shows: Melrose Place, The Vampire Diaries & The Beautiful Life. Fox has picked up Bones for 2 more seasons!! ABC has picked up 6 new shows, including the one I'm most excited about: Cougar Town with Courtney Cox Arquette! I love her. Joss Whedon's show, Dollhouse, is definitely coming back for Season 2. I'm currently about 4 episodes into Season 1 and I like it! Also, apparently Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet on Lost) is not necessarily off the show. I wonder how that will work out...

So what shows are you most excited about in the fall? Anything you're disappointed has been canceled? So far I'm most disappointed that Samantha Who has been canceled.

Quote for the Day

"For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."

Bye Bye to Chad Michael Murray & Hilarie Burton

Chad Michael Murray & Hilarie Burton are officially not returning to One Tree Hill for Season 7. It's just not going to be good. They're supposed to be introducing 2 new characters and Julian will be returning for Season 7 (and 8 if there is one).

What do you think of these changes?

Russell Brand

I've been a fan of Russell Brand ever since seeing Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He was pretty much my favorite one in the movie. Then I saw him in Bedtime Stories and he's just as hilarious. I re-watched his monologue at the MTV Video Music Awards and I found some videos of his stand-up comedy. I've watched him on every late night talk show he's been on in the last couple of months. Something about him just makes me laugh out loud and that's actually really hard to do. I mean, I think a lot of things are funny in terms of movies and TV, but to actually make me pretty much belly-laugh out loud, it's a real accomplishment.

So I'm excited when I find out he's in new things! I'm sure most of you have already heard that he is making another movie based on his character from Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It's called Get Him to the Greek and it also stars Jonah Hill, Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, Rose Byrne and Elisabeth Moss. I'll definitely be seeing it!! Russell will also be starring in a re-make of Drop Dead Fred.

Quote for the Day

Hiding Celebrity Pregnancies on TV

Since pretty much everyone is pregnant right now, I thought this was really interesting! Best and Worst Attempts at Hiding Pregnancies on TV. Currently, Ana Ortiz of Ugly Betty, Chyler Leigh and Ellen Pompeo of Grey's Anatomy and Alyson Hannigan and Cobie Smulders of How I Met Your Mother are all preggo or just recently had their babies (Leigh & Hannigan). I can always see it. As soon as they start cutting off half of the person in every single shot, you just know. But check out TV Guide's list. It includes Sarah Jessica Parker on Sex and the City!

Movies to See This Summer!

I'm so excited about summer movies!!! I need to add a couple to my former list:

Up

The Boat That Rocked

Movie Link List

Movie thoughts: Star Trek, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I have seen several movies lately and I haven't told you.

Star Trek
Completely knocked my socks off. I used to watch the old ones with my grandmother and I liked it, but I never loved it like I loved the movie. You definitely don't have to know about the original show to enjoy it, but there is stuff in there that will give those hardcore fans a little something extra. It was absolutely amazing. Action packed, some romance, really funny, just a little something for everyone.

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past
I actually liked this a lot more than I thought I would! I tend to really like Matthew McConaughey movies and even Jennifer Garner movies. This one was funny and cute. Definitely not award-worthy or anything, but great date night fun.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine
I really liked this movie! My cousin had seen it's early release on the internet that everyone talked about and he was really disappointed in the special effects, but with the exception of a couple of really awful parts where his claws or whatever just looked completely fake (when he's looking in the mirror in the bathroom), I just didn't really think it was bad. I really enjoyed it! I would recommend it! But it does have a part at the end where they're fighting on this big nuclear plant thing and it's like a great big hole and it totally freaked me out because of my phobia. But man Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool is like the best thing ever and I'm really excited about him getting his own Deadpool spin-off movie! The only thing Lewis really didn't like was that the movie doesn't follow the comics at all, but he said if he took it as it's own thing, just completely separate, that he enjoyed it.

Where have I been??

So the spring semester is over. I got a 4.0 in 16 hours of classes with 30+ hours of work, keeping up with my blog, spending time with my husband and my friends. Be impressed. I need to think I'm doing something right. haha

So I took a break. I stopped doing homework (which was awesome), I stopped blogging (which was bad), and I still had to go to work.

But I'm back! Thanks to a few of you who asked me where I've been!!

Get ready for me to knock your socks off...or not really. Either way I'm back.

Quotes for the Day

“He is more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same…If all else perished and he remained, I should still continue to be, and if all else remained, and we were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger…He’s always, always in my mind; not as a pleasure to myself, but as my own being.”
Wuthering Heights

“I like to see people reunited, I like to see people run to each other, I like the kissing and the crying, I like the impatience, the stories that the mouth can’t tell fast enough, the ears that aren’t big enough, the eyes that can’t take in all of the change, I like the hugging, the bringing together, the end of missing someone.”

Quotes for the Day

“The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last. Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die. But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. If you can change the way people think. The way they see themselves. The way they see the world. You can change the way people live their lives. That’s the only lasting thing you can create.”
Chuck Palahniuk

“A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely.”

Aw Zac...

Zac Efron was named one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People! Claire Danes wrote the part on him and I loved what she said!!

"Zac met these demands with focus, humility and enthusiasm — and the result is breathtaking. It seems Zac is not only an entertainer but also an artist. He is going make us swoon for many years to come."

Quotes for the Day

“If we can forgive what’s been done to us, if we can forgive what we’ve done to others. If we can leave all of our stories behind, our being victims and villains - only then can we maybe rescue the world. But we still wait here, while we’re still victims, waiting to be saved. Waiting to be discovered while we suffer.”
-Chuck Palahniuk

“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."

Mother's Day Show!!

One Tree Hill: Chad & Hilarie have been asked to return

Okay, so this is interesting that they have been asked to return and they aren't definitely being written out of the show, BUT I still believe there should not be a Season 7. I think it's had an excellent run and I still love it and I wish they would end at a good point. I think if they let it go another season, it will end because people won't like it or watch it anymore. Season 6 is already worse than Season 5, so I really don't have high hopes for Season 7 even with all the cast members returning.

What do you think?
