Ellen Page and Kristen Wiig are starring in a movie called Whip It that is about roller derby. It's being directed by Drew Barrymore. The movie's story comes from the book Derby Girl by Shauna Cross. I had actually never heard of roller derby until just a couple of months ago! I would really like to go see it one day!!

Christian Bale and Johnny Depp are starring in the upcoming movie Public Enemies, which is about the American gangster John Dillinger (Depp) and the FBI agent who pursued him (Bale) in the 1930's. It is directed by Michael Mann, who directed Miami Vice, Collateral and Ali. I will be interested in seeing it because of the people involved, if nothing else. But I'm looking forward to seeing a trailer when it's ready!
