Birthday Cards!

(I got this post, almost word for word, from M Worsham)

This little boy's name is Shane Bernier. Many of you may have heard of him, but he is 7 years old and lives in Lancaster, Ontario. When he was 5, he was diagnosed with Lymphoblastic Leukemia and was doing well until June, where he experienced a relapse. Instead of asking for money, toys, or a trip to Disney World, his one wish is to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records for receiving the most birthday cards. His goal is 350 million cards. Each card he receives will give him that much more hope. His birthday is May 30th and the record begins on May 1st. The rules are that he has to receive the card between those dates and it has to be a store bought card...(homemade doesn't count, but will still be appreciated!) You can get real birthday cards at Walmart for 48 cents...which I think we can all spare. I think this is very cool and the fact that this little boy still has a positive outlook, warms my heart. I will be sending a card for sure...maybe even two. It will only take a few minutes of your time and about a dollar to help make Shane's wish come true!!
If you want to send Shane a card, the address is:

Shane Bernier
PO Box 484
Lancaster, Ontario
K0C 1N0
Canada
(it takes 2 stamps!!!)

Seven year old Shane Bernier is a brave cancer patient at CHEO and he is asking people to send him a card for his birthday on May 30th. Shane wants to set a world record for the most number of cards received! On behalf of Shane and the CHEO we would like to ask for everyone who to donate 1 dollar to shane for his Cancer Research. You don't have to wait for his birthday to send your card or your money. Start sending them today to: shane_berniers_wish@hotmail.com via PayPal for the donation or Shane Bernier Box 484 Lancaster Ontario CANADA K0C 1N0 for the Birthday Cards. Thank you!!
