And speaking of Revolutionary Road, I've decided to stop reading the book. I thought it would make me feel motivated to change things or to avoid the mundane in life, but it just ended up making me feel depressed and hopeless - like the quote says. If any of you have read it and would say the ending is happier and ends positively, I will keep reading it. Otherwise, I'm just putting it down.
