Buffy Day

I'm having a Buffy Day in my life because it's Spring Break and I'm just in the mood.

Quotes for the Day

One Tree Hill: You Me and the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight

I have a couple of friends who are still catching up with the current season, so I don't want to say a lot, but I do want to say that I have been a solid supporter of the show this season. While I LOVED the first several episodes, I didn't love the ones in the middle, but then I felt that it redeemed itself with the episode right before the winter break. I always had faith that it would come back around, though. Now, with this week's episode, I'm not so excited. It's taken a turn that I don't like and I feel like it's preparing us for next season in ways I don't agree with. They did officially announce that Season 7 WILL BE happening, which would be awesome except I think a couple of people aren't returning and I don't like it. They need the 5 main characters for it to really work.

So, I just needed to voice to all of you that I'm annoyed. We'll see how it goes.

Twilight Saga News!

So I posted about the rumor that Drew Barrymore was interested in directing the third installment in the Twilight series: Eclipse. Apparently that idea blew right on by and now Juan Antonio Bayona, director of The Orphanage, has signed on to direct Eclipse. I keep getting more and more interested in what they're doing to the later movies, especially now as he will be directing the third one. I definitely think I will like the movie versions more if they work on the special effects. Seeing how they should definitely have plenty of money to work with now, I have high expectations for the rest of the movies.

I've also waited to post about Dakota Fanning being cast as Jane in New Moon because I am just not all that crazy about it. It's fine, I guess. It just didn't really knock my socks off to hear that she was chosen for that role. I would be fairly excited about Vanessa Hudgens being cast as Leah Clearwater, though! But I don't think it's going to happen. Oh well.

More Horror Movie Remakes in the Future

After the success of the Friday the 13th remake this year, more horror movies are going to be remade! Nightmare on Elm Street will hit the big screen on April 16, 2010. I had already heard rumors of this one, but I just found out that they are now remaking Stephen King's It! I definitely will not be seeing any of these as I do not watch scary movies, but I do think it's interesting that they're remaking all of these! I know my husband liked the new Friday the 13th. What do you think about remaking old horror movies?

Trailers: 300 Days of Summer, Public Enemies

I'm really excited about both of these movies! I love Zooey Deschanel and I love Johnny Depp! These both look great!

The Wonderful Maladys

Sarah Michelle Gellar is poised to star in a new HBO show called The Wonderful Maladys. It is being written by Charles Randolph, best known for the feature films The Life of David Gale and The Interpreter. The show was initially announced in September, but there were just two new actors added to the cast.

The show was written with Gellar in mind and it will focus on the lives of 3 adult siblings who lost their parents at an early age. SMG will play the middle sibling, described by Charles Randolph as having "a kind of zealous immaturity -- like a drug addict with a to-do list." Nate Corddry (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) & Molly Parker (Deadwood) were just added as Gellar's siblings on the show, so it looks like everything is moving forward! I'm excited about a new tv show with SMG in it! I love her!

Gossip Girl Spin-Off: Lily Rhodes

The Gossip Girl spin-off is going to be about Lily Rhodes as a teenager and I think it's going to be awesome! I love Gossip Girl and I love Brittany Snow, who has been cast as Lily. The first pictures of Brittany Snow as Lily were posted on JustJared! Click here to check out all of them! Matt Barr, who played Psycho Derek in One Tree Hill has been cast as Keith van der Woodsen - probably Lily's first husband seeing how Serena is Serena van der Woodsen!

Has anyone else been keeping up with this developing spin-off? I've been reading about it, but decided not to post until now. I'm really excited!

Tees For Change

Tees For Change is a company that sells eco-friendly, sustainable t-shirts. For every t-shirt that you buy, they plant a tree. Treehugger posted a longer and more detailed description. I just wanted to give you enough info to know that they rock. Basically your money goes to help the environment and you get an awesome t-shirt with an uplifting message made out of organic material. I love companies like this that allow you to help while also allowing you to get something awesome to remind yourself and others of what we can do. Toms Shoes is another that I think of off the top of my head!
