TV Update!!!!

Here's where I'm at right now in my shows:

I am definitely not on board with keeping couples apart in the TV shows. I'm really annoyed with it right now.

Grey's Anatomy - Seriously - Lexie & Sloan need to be together. Like yesterday.

Bones - There was a point where you should've finally gotten Bones & Booth together & that point was at the very latest sometime last season. Now you haven't done it & my husband will no longer watch your show with me. Jerks. I am holding on, but it's not really worth it.

90210 - Liam & Annie need to stop all this annoying back & forth "we like each other & then we don't" kind of junk.

Some things I'm happy with right now:

House & Cuddy are doing good. Relatively.

Elena & Stefan are staying strong in Vampire Diaries.

Meredith & Derek as well as Owen & Cristina are staying together.

Also, I love Mondo on Project Runway. He needs to win. Bad.

One thing I'm not okay with: political commercials. I have the weeks leading up to an election. Makes me want to throw things at the TV.

Favorite relationship

30 Days of Television - Day #21

Apparently on other 30 Days of TV memes, this one is called "favorite ship." I think that's stupid. So it's favorite relationship on my blog. Again, I have a top 10 in no particular order. And by the way - I'm having a hard time with all these favorite whatevers. I've already thought of like 10 more favorite kisses that could've fit somewhere in my top list from yesterday!! It's so hard to pick!!!

I've already said that I love that he goes from a major player just going from girl to girl & not really caring about anybody to being totally changed by his relationship with her. I'm all about that.

I have always been a little more partial to the relationship between Buffy & Spike over her & Angel because Spike chooses to be good based on his observance of how Buffy lives. Angel is cursed, not making a choice.

I like it that they got together in the first season & have been through a bunch of crap, but are still together almost 8 years later!! It's awesome. I am not one who likes when TV shows bounce people from relationship to relationship. I think it's great shows that can make one relationship work over that amount of time.

They are just the sweetest. I don't know how to even begin to describe why I love them except that they are just so sweet! It's really cute.

I was definitely on board with Joey & Rachel & actually would've been ok with them ending up together rather than Rachel & Ross. But I would've been fine either way I think.

Even though there wasn't really much to celebrate here - no relationship, no confirmation that they like each other - this was still really exciting because you could kinda tell that they secretly love each other. We're STILL building toward a relationship 2 years later, but still. It was exciting.

Who didn't love it when Jim finally kissed Pam after he told her he loved her?? Oh my gosh I was so excited!!! I also really like when he kisses her when they find out she's pregnant. That scene was one of the best scenes ever in TV in my opinion.

The one at the end where Buffy is pretending to be the Buffybot to find out if Spike told Glory who Dawn was. I know this is a weird one to pick, but it's the first time Buffy kisses Spike on purpose because she thinks he deserves it. Something about it has just always stuck with me. I probably watch it like 3 times every time I watch the episode.

Bring back my TV shows!!!!

I would like to interrupt my 30 Days of Television to tell you how incredibly excited I am about my TV shows starting back up in September!! We are just a few weeks away!!! I love TV. For some people, they like to read, for Lewis, it's playing video games - everybody has something that they do to shut off the world & take some time out. For me, it's TV. It's an escape. It's like a little party in my brain.

Here, watch the recap of the way the relationships in Season 5 of Bones left off!! And be expecting some more promos for the new seasons!! I'm pretty pumped!!!

She's feisty & super fun! Plus she has cool clothes & pretty hair. What more can you ask for in a female character?

Her social awkwardness is just hilarious! But I also love it when she opens up & you can tell that she wants to love Booth, but is just holding back!

Thoughts on TV Shows Last Week

First of all, in continuation of this post, 90210 and Vampire Diaries are still totally on my good side! Vampire Diaries in particular is just knocking my socks off! I got the first 2 books of that series on Friday and I've already finished the first one! Yay!!!

One Tree Hill
This one was okay. It was pretty much what I expected without Peyton & Lucas. It's captured my attention enough to keep watching it, but I don't expect great things as of right now. I do like the 2 new characters so far! That's good! I don't like what they're doing with Dan at all and I'm not looking forward to the Nathan storyline, but I guess they've got to add some drama now that Peyton is gone. We'll see how it goes...

Gossip Girl
This was great! I love Chuck & Blair! I'm cool with the rest of the stuff they're setting up right now! I really like this show and I'm excited about this season!!! I'm a little nervous about Hilary Duff being on the season later, but I'm sure it'll be okay. I did alright with Michelle Trachtenberg.

Jay Leno
I'm not super obsessed with the new Jay Leno show so far. I do like the 10 at 10 thing. That's pretty much all my comments on that as of right now.

Bones
Oh, Bones how I missed you!! I was not super thrilled with this episode, but I have complete faith in this show and I just love love love it as a whole!! I do wish that Booth & Brennan would just deal with the crap and finally get together. I'm annoyed with it and I just don't know how long they can drag that out. We're going into the 5th season now!!! Give us some Booth & Brennan action!!! Some legitimate, not dreaming action please!! But I still loved it. I think Booth is so funny now that he's come back from surgery and not exactly acting like himself. It's going to be a good season!

Community
I thought this one started out kinda rough for me, but by the end of it, I was loving it!! My favorite character is Abed, played by Danny Pudi. Yes, I know my favorite character should be Joel McHale, but it just isn't. If you watched the episode - my favorite part was when Abed was sitting there as everyone was mouthing words to each other behind Jeff's (McHale) back and Abed goes, "What's going on?!? Can you all hear me?!? Am I deaf?!?" hahaha I laughed so hard and I kept laughing after the episode was over! Yay!

TV Characters We're Thankful For

While this post at this site kinda sucks, it made me think about the TV characters I'm thankful for!!

Buffy people
Duh. I can't pick one.

Chandler Bing
He's completely hilarious and one of my favorite tv characters of all time. He never fails to make me laugh, but when he gets choked up and is serious about stuff, it totally breaks me down.

Dan Humphrey
I just like him. Serena & Dan are my favorite. But I'm starting to be a bigger and bigger fan of Chuck & Blair.

Gregory House
I love that he's a jerk and totally brilliant and hilarious. He makes the whole show work.

Temperance Brennan
I love how she is socially awkward. She just says what's going on even if it's inappropriate or questionable. And Booth just loves her but they haven't done anything about it yet! It's starting to drive me crazy.

Mark Sloan
While there are plenty of characters to love on Grey's, Mark is probably my favorite. He acts like he's all macho and just sleeps around, but I think he's more sensitive than he appears.

Brooke Davis
She's hot and she's feisty and she's funny. What more could you ask for?

Seth Cohen
Absolutely hilarious. All the time. I love his sarcasm!

American Idol returns on January 13

House moves to 8pm Mondays beginning January 19

Bones moves to 8pm Thursdays beginning January 15

Dollhouse (Joss Whedon's new show) begins 9pm Friday February 13

24 begins its new season (finally) on January 11-12 (4 hour special over 2 nights)
