I love Matthew Perry and if he was the only one in it that I liked, I would be seeing it no matter what, BUT add Zac Efron, Michelle Trachtenberg, Leslie Mann and Hunter Parrish and I may just totally freak out like a 12 year old.

Zac Efron no longer in Footloose remake

Just so you know, Zac Efron is no longer going to be starring in the Footloose remake. The movie is still being made without him, but has dropped quite a few levels for me now in interest. We'll see who replaces him.

Can I also say - on the topic of Footloose - that I watched Hot Rod for the first time this weekend and my favorite part was the Footloose dance remake! Hilarious!

I'm not super crazy about them tonight. I don't like his hair and I don't like her dress. I just haven't been obsessed with anyone's clothes so far.

Jacob Black & the new Hairspray movie!

Just in case you've been living in a box and haven't heard already, Taylor Lautner is definitely back in New Moon as Jacob Black. I can't say I'm super obsessed with this decision, but I also am even less of a fan of the idea of switching actors for a sequel. I hate when they do that. So this is the best option under the circumstances, I guess.

Also, while speaking of sequels, the second Hairspray movie now has an official title - Hairspray 2: White Lipstick. They will be getting new villains in this one, which means no more Michelle Pfeiffer or Brittany Snow. So sad! But it makes sense.

High School Musical 3 on DVD

High School Musical 3 is going to be released on DVD on February 17, 2009!

I'm excited!! I want to buy all 3 of them. I'm hoping there is some kind of set!

I loved Footloose!!! Now, Zac Efron (who I also love) is going to be in the remake directed by Kenny Ortega of High School Musical. It will be written by the director of Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, Peter Sollett.

I'm excited about it!!

Time Magazine wrote an article about How High School Musical Conquered the World. I must say, the movies are fabulous, if only because in a world full of junk on tv and in movies, they are squeeky-clean in the best possible way!

I very highly encourage you to see them!!

High School Musical 3: Can I Have This Dance?

So I absolutely LOVED this movie. They're just good clean fun, like I've said before. There's nothing inappropriate about them (except possibly the fact that Vanessa Hudgen's dress almost comes up throughout this whole dance). But they're just really cute and happy and I love it! They are VERY cheesy, but that's why it's awesome!
