Taking a Short Break...

I've gotten bored with the liveblogging for right now. There are 10 people at my house and I'm overwhelmed with conversation and blogging. I'll return after the awards start!

Brangelina at the Oscars

They're beautiful.

Brangelina

Brangelina just arrived...

Taraji P Henson Oscars 2009

This is another of my favorites tonight! She looks beautiful!

Dev Patel & Freida Pinto Oscars 2009

I don't really like her dress, but they are so cute!!

Heidi Klum Oscars 2009

I totally don't like anything about this. I hate the dress. I hate the hair. I'm so disappointed because I usually love her stuff so much!

Favorite Dress so far...

My favorite dress so far is Amy Adams. I'll post a picture as soon as I find one. It's not all that great, though. I've been disappointed with the dresses so far.

Ryan Seacrest video

TMZ has a video of the awkwardness that ensued between Ryan Seacrest and the Slumdog Millionaire kids.

Best blogs for the Oscars so far...

Zanessa at the Oscars

I'm not super crazy about them tonight. I don't like his hair and I don't like her dress. I just haven't been obsessed with anyone's clothes so far.

Slumdog at the Oscars

I hope this movie just wins big tonight. I love it!

Miley Cyrus Oscar dress

Here's the Miley Cyrus dress I was talking about. Nobody here likes it.

Ryan Seacrest with Slumdog Children

He just totally embarrassed me. He couldn't pronounce their names, so he just showed the card and then he asked one a question and he couldn't speak English.

Nice.

Red Carpet so far...

I don't like Miley Cyrus' dress. I haven't found a picture yet.

Academy Awards 2009!!!

The party has started and we are all ready to go. We are in our sweats with the pizza on the way and we're settled in for an awesome night of Hollywood festivities!!

I'm liveblogging, so be excited...

Oscar Pick: Best Picture

Slumdog Millionaire
I just absolutely think it will win. It was fabulous. It was well written, well directed, excellent cast, beautiful setting and generally a happy ending kind of thing. The whole thing fits together perfectly. I loved it and I think the Academy will too!

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
I do think this movie was so good, but I don't think it will win. It was completely beautiful, at times even looking like a painting on the screen. Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt were wonderful, but again, I don't think it will win.

Frost/Nixon
I did really enjoy this movie, but I didn't think it had that overall pizazz that I normally recognize in the former Best Picture winners.

Milk
For me, this would be the closest to Slumdog to win. It was just completely well done all the way around. Gus Van Sant is an excellent director and he pieced together a wonderful movie. I really loved it. I wouldn't be disappointed if this won, but I still think Slumdog will.

The Reader
I haven't seen this one, so I don't really have an opinion.

Movie News

There are new images of The Road available now! I'm excited about seeing this movie, but I'm more excited about reading the book! I really need to start that soon!!

Boondock Saints: All Saints Day is definitely going to happen! Apparently filming wrapped in December, so it's in post-production. Film School Rejects wrote a post about the history of this particular version with a lot of info I didn't have any idea about. I'm happy the sequel is being made, mainly because Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus are back as Connor and Murphy respectively, but there's a possibility that it could be straight-to-DVD. That's not a good sign. Either way, check out the Film School Rejects post.
