I have prided myself in my ability to watch countless hours of movies or tv shows on DVD, but these 2 have exceeded my wildest expectations!
57 Movies in 123 hours - The winners of the Netflix World Movie Watching Championships set a new Guiness world record. I am impressed - sort-of. They weren't allowed to divert their eyes from the screen, but they were allowed 10 minute breaks between movies. That is intense!! I must say, they don't really look like they're having fun.
Click here for a complete list of the movies they watched!
Tim Burton is currently working on Alice in Wonderland 3D. It's going to be both computer animated and real life, similar to Alvin & the Chipmunks. I could not be more excited about it! I love Tim Burton! It's going to be great!! More information at Tim Burton Collective News!

I've been listening to the XXXChurch podcasts. They are free on iTunes. I highly recommend them. Those guys are genuine and funny and just all around entertaining and encouraging.
Anyway, the one I was listening to the other day was an interview with this guy Jon who started Stuffchristianslike.net and it is fabulous. I really want you all to check it out!!
Already I need to change that last post about my schedule for the day. I started watching Buffy YouTube videos instead of actually watching a Buffy video and I got hooked!!!!

I've decided for 1 week I'm going to let everyone know my daily schedule. Maybe it will be totally uninteresting to you and maybe you will see how I do it all. Everyone asks me that. School, work, spending time with friends and Lewis and everything. So I'm going to let you in on my secrets. And don't give me some crap about how when I have kids I won't be able to do it all. I'm fully aware - why do you think I do it all now?? It's because I KNOW I won't be able to later!
Monday Oct. 6
8:45am - woke up & got ready (to be honest about this, on MWF I wake up late because I don't go to work before class. That extra hour or so of sleep 3 times a week is actually a really big factor in why I think I stay sane.) 9:00am - Drove to Class 10:00am- 10:50am - MUS 266 10:50am - 11:30am - Drive home, pick up lunch for Lew on the way (Normally, I would be going to work at 11:15, but today Lew and I had requested vacation days from work because his birthday is tomorrow and because I had my TEP interview) 11:30am - 12:30pm - Ate lunch & watched Girls Next Door & Saturday Night Live with Lew 12:30pm - 1:30pm - Math & Physics homework while watching Samantha Who? in my room 1:30pm - 2:30pm - Took a shower and got ready for TEP interview (TEP = Teacher Education Program at UK - it's my interview to get into the program!) 2:30pm - Drove to TEP interview on campus 3:30pm - Writing prompt for TEP interview 4:00pm - TEP interview 4:45pm - Drove home 5:15pm - 8:00pm - Watched Samantha Who? while eating dinner, finishing some homework and then reading a magazine (all on my bed in my bedroom) 8:00pm - 9:30pm - Looked at Buffy YouTube videos online for Diana 9:30pm - 10:30pm - Blogging, checking email, Facebook, etc. 10:30pm - Get ready for bed and watch Buffy or Friends episodes until I go to sleep at midnight 12:00am - LIGHTS OUT!
I'm having a hum-drum kind of evening and I needed a pick-me-up. I am accomplishing this through quotations and Buffy episodes. Always sources of smiles in my life. haha

Maybe mistakes are what make our fate... without them what would shape our lives? Maybe if we had never veered off course we wouldn't fall in love, have babies, or be who we are. After all things change, so do cities, people come into your life and they go. Humanity is an abomination. The awareness of my mistakes is difficult to acclimate to. It's hard to see so candidly what a monster I am. I have seemingly accomplished nothing further than pain. What has become of purity? -Scott Welch
I just got the new Jack's Mannequin album on my iTunes.
This is my favorite song off of it so far.
You gotta swim Swim for your life Swim for the music That saves you When you're not so sure you'll survive You gotta swim Swim when it hurts The whole world is watching You haven't come this far To fall off the earth The currents will pull you Away from your love Just keep your head above
I found a tidal wave Begging to tear down the dawn Memories like bullets They fire at me from a gun Cracking the armor yeah I swim for brighter days Despite the absence of sun Choking on salt water I'm not giving in, I swim
You gotta swim Through nights that won't end Swim for your families Your lovers your sisters And brothers and friends Yeah you gotta swim Through wars without cause Swim for the lost politicians Who don't see their greed is a flaw The currents will pull us Away from our love Just keep your head above
I found a tidal wave Begging to tear down the dawn Memories like bullets They fire at me from a gun Cracking the armor now I swim for brighter days Despite the absence of sun Choking on salt water I'm not giving in I'm not giving in, I swim
You gotta swim Swim in the dark There's no shame in drifting Feel the tide shifting away from the spark Yeah you gotta swim Don't let yourself sink Just find the horizon I promise you it's not as far as you think The currents will drag us away from our love Just keep your head above Just keep your head above Swim Just keep your head above Swim, swim Just keep your head above Swim
Between school, work, personal life and the blog (which I've been sucking at lately - maybe you haven't noticed but I definitely have), I've decided to cut back on some tv shows.
Here are the ones that didn't make the cut. I will no longer be watching new episodes.
Army Wives
Dirty Sexy Money
Eli Stone
Heroes
Prison Break
True Blood
I have also canceled my Netflix. We just have the Blockbuster Movie Pass. These are the shows that remain on my list.
