Buffy Comic Book Store!!!
Paul, Hannah & I went to the comic book store yesterday!!!
Hannah & I each bought a couple of these Season 8 comic books. It was awesome because in the comic book store, we are just 3 of TONS of people who love Buffy. I told the guy that works there that I really want this Buffy poster that is on the window. He told me I would have to get in line and probably fight for it.
I'm ready. Let's do it.

Snow Days/Spring Break/Weekend
So far I have watched about 17 episodes of 90210, Martian Child & Jumper.
I've read 2 chapters of Atonement.
I've played Sims 2 on my computer.
I've done Friends trivia on Facebook.
And, obviously, I've blogged.
Tomorrow morning, Lewis' parents are coming over and we're going to start putting down the laminate on our first floor - living room & kitchen! I'm excited!!
Sometime Tuesday afternoon I think I'm going to the comic book store with Paul & Hannah.
Tuesday night, Katelyn is coming over and we are watching some of season 2 of One Tree Hill.
Then on Wednesday, I'm going shopping in Cincinnati with Diana & Allison!
Yay!

Bradley Hathaway
I played The Annoying Hardcore Dude... for Diana in the car on the way home from the movie and I need her to see what he (Bradley Hathaway) looks like. So here are some videos.
This one just shows how sweet he is. It ends up being So Do I Love You.
And this one is There Is Hope.
These are the lyrics:
There is a heart of such distress that I carry in this chest please reach out and caress in your pillowesque manner.
Front and center right here and right now I'm throwing in the towel I've committed too many fowls I've flown south.
My sprits turning sour I can't go through another hour, me my precious pretty pink petite flower that blooms in the night and leave me in the dark by your moonlight no more fight. I never fought anywhere so I thawed and now I'm here on these knees distraught.
Crying out to you pretty please, pretty please take this disease turning these insides brown my smile turns to frown and my breathe smells like death.
Because I am dead to light and a light is something I don't know that you would have me feel but this is for real and I need you right now, I need you right now.
So seal the deal with your stamp of regeneration and grow me up into a new creation taken from a tree and plucked from a vine, if it's my time to shine then shine your light on me so that everyone hurting can see that there is hope, hope in the seemingly endless valley full of rotten fruit left behind from previous troops that are now in your mountains drinking directly from your fountains, save me a spot I will be there sooner than not, I'm picking up the pace and slowly starting to trot.

The Happening
This was one of the previews before Jumper. It's the new M. Night Shyamalan movie! I really want to see it!! But, I mean, I would see anything he puts out at this point. It's not even really a question.
Beverly Hills, 90210
And let's talk about how Beverly Hills, 90210 was filmed in the same school that Buffy was filmed in.
I think I was meant to watch this show.

Martian Child
Lewis and I watched this tonight. It was so fabulous. I loved everything about it! I love John Cusack and I loved the little boy and I loved the story and I loved the ending and I love that it's based on a true story and I love the way it made me feel in the end.It is about hope and love and family and parents and being an individual and accepting that we are not perfect and it's just a really good movie.
You should watch it.
Beverly Hills, 90210
So I've been recording 90210 on the SOAP channel. I knew Emily had seen all the episodes and loved it, but it was always that show that I had seen several of them, but not all of them and I was okay with it.Well now it's become my new guilty pleasure. They play them in order on the SOAP channel. I started recording them at about the next to last episode of season 2 - when Brenda's parents started trying to break up Brenda and Dylan. Now I'm like 3 episodes into season 3.
It's awesome. And their clothes are rockin' and it's just so cheesy.
And I guess with all the craziness that's on tv now, it's not as dirty as I remember thinking that it was! haha! But I'm sure it just gets worse as it goes on...I'm excited!

Snow Day!!!!!!
I have finished all my school work. I have no more until next weekend. It is Saturday, I am taking off work 3 days next week.
We woke up this morning to 2 inches of snow I think. We are supposed to get up to another 3. We can't get out of the driveway because it is at a major incline and we can't get up it.
So we're stuck.
And I don't know what to do!!!!!!
I could read books, watch movies, play Sims, watch tv...I could do anything and I have time for whatever!!! And this hasn't happened to me in a long time! If I had any free time, it was always just the weekend or something with no homework. 5 days!!! What am I going to do with 5 days!!!!
But omg 5 days no work, no school!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

Favorite Friend Quote of the Day 3-2-2008
My friend Paul sent me & Hannah a message on Facebook today. He is our friend who watches Buffy with us. We also got him into One Tree Hill and he likes The O.C. He rocks. This is the message:
"So I started talking to a co-worker on AIM tonight. We had never had a AIM conversation before. She has a buddy icon of a guys face. I thought it was the karate kid but she said it was james lafferty. I came back with, "you mean Nathan." She freaked out that i knew One Tree Hill. So thanks. I might as well cut off my penis."

10 Things I Love About My Life Right Now
It has been one of those weeks where I've just struggled...with several things. It's been one of those weeks where I have compared myself to other people way too much. It has been one of those weeks where I just needed to take a minute and think about the reasons why I'm happy to be exactly who and where I am. Here's my list:
(Also I added a postsecret for each one. Just to prove how postsecret IS my life.)
(Also I added a postsecret for each one. Just to prove how postsecret IS my life.)
1. My husband - I don't think I deserve him and I have definitely done more than my fair share of things in my life to give him reasons to not want to be with me. But he does want to be with me. Everyday. And he makes sure that I know that. And I'm so lucky to have him.
2. My friends - The past few months have been a learning experience for me (as the past couple of years have been as well). I've been learning who my real friends are and who are friends out of convenience. Diana and I have really reconnected over the last few months and I don't think there is anything better sometimes than realizing someone is really just there, just because, and no matter what. They've seen your highs and your lows and they still feel lucky to be friends with you. I'm just happy for people I can count on when life gets rough sometimes.
3. Having what I need - I have a job, a car, a house, money in the bank, very little debt (only house and school which is not really bad debt exactly - although all debt isn't good), the ability to buy what I need and what I want within reason. We don't have an exorbitant amount of money, but I sometimes think that changes people for the worse and I hope that God will allow us to always have the money we need and that we will always be good stewards of the money he gives us. I have seen too many people elevate money beyond any place it should rightfully have.
4. My family - My relationship with my family has been strained at times, but I feel like we are evened out at this point. Every family has its issues. But I appreciate mine and I know they appreciate me. And I've been blessed enough to add Lewis' family to my family and they also make me feel loved and appreciated which is always a good thing.
5. Intelligence - This is not an arrogant statement in any way. Some people have money, charm, wit, physical beauty, diligence, etc. I have intelligence. Things make sense to me. School isn't very hard for me. Work makes sense. I pick up things easily and I am able to discern and understand things with ease. I think that's something I should be happy for because it isn't the case with everyone. We all have strengths and weaknesses in different areas. This is one of my strengths.
6. Free time - I don't have a lot of it. Between work and school, I don't end up with much at all. But my free time does end up being all at the same time. During the week, I don't have a lot of free time at all. But I try to structure my week so that Saturdays are free of schoolwork. I do homework at nights and on Sundays. My Saturdays are my highlight of the week. And yesterday was a particularly wonderful Saturday. Nothing special, just people I care about and time to just be myself.
7. Movies & TV - We all know those things that we love that calm us down, give us rest, an escape, etc. Mine are movies and tv shows. Some people play video games, some people read, some listen to music or go shopping. I love to watch movies and tv shows and I'm lucky enough to have a lot of friends who share my joy in these things.
8. Possibility - I'm in school to be a teacher. Lewis is working really hard toward his career. He is getting his MBA and he has a job that he enjoys and is good at right now. We own a house and have hopes for moving up in the future both personally and professionally. I always think that is better than feeling like you have nowhere left to go. We have lots ahead of us and I'm excited to enjoy the ride.
9. Organization - This might seem silly to you, but organization makes my life easier. I think it is the reason why I can balance school and work and family and friends and everything else that seems to come up over time. Not only in specific physical organization of my house, my workspace, etc, but also my mind is organized in a way that I don't think all people's are. I organize things (thoughts, people, experiences) into categories in my mind and it helps me to separate things. I don't know exactly how to explain it. But it saves my life, I think.
10. Jesus - I saved this one for last not because it is the least important, but because it is significant, the crowning point and faith of my life. It is my pillar. Some people don't understand or agree and that's okay. I will always try to focus my attention and my direction on Christ so that my treatment of those around me, the choices I make, the things I say, the way I dress are all influenced by this. I fall short daily and I know where I have weaknesses that need to be addressed. But I'm trying. I'm moving forward. And I hope that even where some of us don't agree on this issue, I can present my faith and my relationship with Christ in a way that allows respect both from me to others and from others to me.
