Movie Review: The Soloist

I had high hopes for this movie because I love Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey, Jr. After seeing it, I had several thoughts:

• The acting is fabulous - Foxx & Downey Jr were exactly as good as I expected them to be
• Several parts of it really blew me away with the artistry and beauty of it
• It was really cool that it was a true story - I didn't know that before seeing it

but...

somehow all of that pieces together into something that I just wasn't really crazy about. So I'd give parts of it a great review, but the movie as a whole would maybe get a C rating. Not great. Definitely very disappointing.

Austin Nichols has signed on for Season 7 of One Tree Hill! He signed a 2-year contract, so if there is a Season 8 - which at this point I kinda hope there won't be - he'll be back for that, too.

Times Online has made a list of the 50 Best US TV Shows. I don't really agree because Buffy isn't on there and Friends isn't on there, but stuff like Sex and the City is so it can't be current shows. I don't know how I feel about it.

Michael Cera & his gf Charlyne Yi have a movie coming out in August called Paper Hearts. I'm sort-of interested, but more interested in the fact that I just found out that the two of them are dating.

There is a Behind-the-Scenes featurette of 500 Days of Summer on TrailerAddict. I'm really excited about this one!!


Drew Barrymore's is working on producing a 3rd Charlie's Angels movie! The 2nd one didn't do well in the box office, so everyone seems to be confused about why they would try a 3rd, but they're going to add a 4th angel - possibly Penelope Cruz or Rihanna. Interesting...

Have you seen Fast & Furious yet? I've actually seen it twice now. I loved it!

Paul Walker has confirmed that they are working on a 5th installment based in Brazil. Walker says that due to the success of this movie (It was the #1 movie in America last week!), he & Vin Diesel will both be back for a 5th.

I'm excited about it!! I don't care if they make a million of them. I'll watch them. I've seen them all so far and loved them!!

17 Again Interviews

I am ridiculously excited about 17 Again. It's sort-of embarrassing.
