Get involved.

I'm vocal about the things that count. And I don't always have to be right. Everybody doesn't have to agree with me. But I would encourage everybody to get involved in something. I want to get involved in something and I've been looking around at things to get involved in or to learn more about! Check out these sites for some interesting organizations that are doing great things!!

[The descriptions are quoted from the websites themselves.]

YouthNoise
Across the globe, youths everywhere are making a difference. Combating issues without blinking an eye, they possess the spirit and strength, along with the heartfelt belief, that they can change the world. And change the world they do! YouthNoise gives these world-changers, these hope-givers, a voice, a place to connect, and a place to inspire-and be inspired. An activist haven, a socially conscious sanctuary, YouthNoise invites youths to write, to learn, to think, and to act. A virtual conference hall, playground, coffee shop, and classroom, YouthNoise is where the difference begins.

Summer Search
The Need: Educational attainment is the best antidote to poverty, yet only 21% of low-income U.S. high school students will successfully complete college. When these young people fall through the cracks, the loss is tragic, both for individuals and for the larger society: a recent article from the New York Times estimated that low-income children cost the country $500 billion when they become adults. Summer Search breaks this cycle.

Do Something
You have a lot of ideas about how you'd like to change the world or at least you have a lot of questions and concerns and you're looking for specific things you can do. We're giving you a place to connect, a place to be inspired, be supported, be celebrated. The only question is, "What's your something?"

Keep-A-Breast
The Keep A Breast Foundation is a unique non-profit organization creating plaster forms of the female torso, customized by fine artists and auctioned to raise funding for breast cancer. Our mission is to produce art events that increase breast cancer awareness among young people and benefit breast cancer education, prevention and treatment programs in communities around the world.
