Avril Lavigne along with her publishing company and songwriting partner are being sued by Tommy Dunbar, the founder of the group The Rubinoos. Dunbar claims that Avril's latest song "Girlfriend" sounds too much like the Rubinoo's song, "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" from the 70's. I don't think it sounds that similar at all, but you listen and let me know what you think:

They sound NOTHING alike... i listend 2 "I wanna b ur boyfriend" and I have "Girlfriend" memorized (cuz ive listened 2 it 116 times just on my iPod) and they did NOT sound the same!!! Geez!! I think Tommy Dunbar is just jealous that Avril is actually famous and "Girlfriend" is soooo known... he needz to suck it up and relize the 70's are over... itz 2007 now!!!!
